Leicester Tigers travel to Dublin to face Leinster Rugby in the 2022/23 Heineken Champions Cup quarter-finals.

The sides meet for a second successive season in the quarter-final stages of Europe's top tier after playing at Mattioli Woods Welford Road last season at the same point in the competition where Leinster were victorious, 14-23.

There have been twelve previous meetings between the sides, with Leicester having won on five occasions.

The most recent meeting in Dublin was in the quarter-final stages of the 2010/11 European season, when the home side were victorious 17-10 at the Aviva Stadium.

Leinster have won four Heineken Champions Cups, compared to Leicester's two, and were most recently crowned European champions in the 2017/18 season.

Only Dan Cole and Ben Youngs, from the current Tigers squad, featured in the last match played between Leicester and Leinster in Dublin.

The Irish side have won all five of their European fixtures this season, home and away against Gloucester Rugby and Racing 92 in the pool stages before defeating Ulster Rugby in the Round of 16 to progress to Friday night's quarter-final.

Meanwhile, Richard Wigglesworth's side have won four from five in this season's European campaign after being defeated by Ospreys at home in the final round of the pool stages. Their wins came against Ospreys (away), ASM Clermont Auvergne (home and away) and Edinburgh Rugby in the Round of 16.

Leinster boast a wealth of international talent throughout their ranks, with more than 30 Test-capped players, and had 20 players included in the 2023 Guiness Six Nations winning Ireland squad.

Former Leicester Tigers - and Leinster - lock Leo Cullen is the Irish provincial side's Director of Rugby.
