The line-up for the knockout stages of this season's Prima Tiger Cup has been finalised with Market Rasen & Louth, Melbourne and Nuneaton booking their spots at Welford Road.

Mellish RFC in Nottingham hosted the fifth and final festival on Sunday with 17 under-10s teams competing for a place at the home of Leicester Tigers.

The teams from Matlock, Mellish, Scunthorpe, West Bridgford, Southwell, Sleaford, Kesteven, Trentham, Nuneaton, Nottingham Boots Corsairs, Market Rasen, Goole, Melbourne, Cleethorpes, Lincoln, Belper and Bakewell took part in a hard-fought and friendly festival which was a credit to all of the players, coaches and fans.

Tigers players Scott Steele and Tom Price dropped in and joined the teams for squad photos.

Market Rasen & Louth, Melbourne and Nuneaton joined under-10s teams from Holt, North Walsham, Tamworth, Wolverhampton, Market Harborough, Ashby, Hinckley, Oadby Wyggestonians, Braintree and Haywards Heath, who qualified from earlier festivals. And three wildcard slots were filled by Kettering, Old Leamingtonians and Nottingham Corsairs after winning all their festival games but losing out on try count-back.

The Prima Tiger Cup is supported by Loughborough-based Prima Solutions. Now in its 19th season, this year’s competition is the biggest ever with more than 70 teams taking part.

The first set of knockout stage fixtures will take place before kick-off this Saturday in Tigers’ Aviva Premiership clash with London Irish.

Keep an eye on the Tigers website and YouTube channel for the draw, which is being made by Tigers centre Matt Smith.

The second set of knockout fixtures will be played on Sunday, December 8, before Tigers take on Montpellier in the Heineken Cup. Tom Croft will conduct the draw, which will also be made on the Tigers website and YouTube channel.
