More than 100 pupils from Leicester schools enjoyed a festival to celebrate playing Tag Rugby as part of Premiership Rugby's Rugby4All programme.Funded by the Equality and Human Rights Commission, the Rugby4All scheme aims to increase ethnic communities participation in sport using Tag Rugby as a fun way to becoming more active.
The festival was held at Willowbrook Primary School in the city at the end of a five-week programme with Spinney Hill, Bridge Junior, Wyvern, Willowbrook and Sandfield Primary Schools all taking part.
Pupils in the programme have never played rugby before and over the five weeks their teachers also learn about Tag Rugby by attending education evenings at Welford Road stadium to learn how to coach Tag Rugby.
As part of Rugby4All, more than 150 children from different schools were also able to play on the Tigers pitch.
