Fraser Balmain says Leicester Tigers are determined to maintain the levels of performance that took them to back-to-back victories over Christmas and new year.Tigers followed up their win at Sale Sharks on December 27 with victory over Bath Rugby in front of a 24,000 capacity crowd at Welford Road on Sunday.
Balmain made his 10th start of the campaign in the win over Bath, and says the performance sets a benchmark for the rest of the season.
He said: “We started the game well, we fronted up well, hopefully that’s a sign for the rest of the season that we can keep performing like that."
Balmain says his game is developing all the time and that he learned from the defeat to Bath Rugby earlier in the season.
“I am happy to get the game time and to get a chance,” he said. “I was quite pleased to play against Bath because I had a tough time down at The Rec. I did better today, so I am happy.
“As a prop you can definitely learn from tough games. Game by game I’d like to think I’m learning and progressing.”
