Harlequins full-back Aaron Morris has been banned or three weeks following an incident in the match against Leicester Tigers at The Twickenham Stoop last Friday.

Morris appeared at a disciplinary hearing in London on Wednesday evening after being cited for
tackling the jumper in the air, contrary to law 10.4(i).

The player pleaded not guilty but was given a three-week suspension. He is free to play again on March 21.

Quins full-back Morris received a yellow card following a tackle on Tigers wing Adam Thompstone in the second half of the Aviva Premiership match last Friday when a penalty try was also awarded by referee Dean Richards. Morris was cited post match.

The RFU disciplinary panel concluded: "The panel found this was a reckless incident that warranted a red card. The Leicester Tigers player luckily sustained no serious injury and was able to play on. As such it was deemed a low end offence.”

The panel comprised Philip Evans QC (chairman), Michael Short and Aidan O’Brien.
