Redevelopment of the Clubhouse End

Figure image
Leicester Tigers are planning to spend £8million on the redevelopment of the west side of the Welford Road stadium, taking capacity to more than 26,000.The proposal for the three-storey building includes 3,100 matchday seats, a premium season ticket lounge, stadium big screen, main ticket office, Tigers Club Store, club offices, stadium control and a concourse area which will house club heritage displays, matchday food kiosks and public bars. The new stand will replace the century-old clubhouse and other buildings at that end of the stadium as well as the temporary seating area and will take stadium capacity up from 24,000 to just over 26,000. Construction is scheduled to begin in May after the last home game of the regular season (against Northampton Saints on Saturday, May 16) and the stand will be in operation for the 2015/16 season. As part of the new West Stand, we are creating The Clubhouse, a premium season ticket lounge, featuring the only glass-fronted lounge in the stadium with a pitchside view. The Clubhouse will have a modern and contemporary feel, creating a perfect atmosphere in which to enjoy your rugby. To find out more about the stadium development, click here.
