Help us celebrate the courage and strength of our community’s cancer survivors and the groundbreaking work of Cancer Research UK with a special 24-hour walk at the home of Leicester Tigers.
Participating teams will be required to walk around the Welford Road pitch in relay as part of a major fundraising initiative from Cancer Research UK.
Relay for Life Leicester, which is the first such event in the city, has set itself a record-breaking target of £100,000 – an amount not yet achieved by any UK Relay – and you can play your part.
To register your team, please call Paula Robertson on 07725 113 427 or email [email protected]
There are already 30 teams participating, including a Tigers Extras team, with the event featuring live music from local bands throughout Saturday, craft and food markets, face painting, a raffle and a silent auction for signed Tigers memorabilia and a fantastic star prize. Tigers players will also be dropping in to offer their support, sign autographs and have their photos taken with participants.
As well as exhibitions about cancer, cancer detection and cancer awareness, doctors will also be on site to offer free check ups in the Welford Road changing rooms.
