Remembering Tudor Thomas

During his chat with LTTV for the Welford Road Revisited series, Tigers Finance Director Ian Walker shared his memories of the late Tudor Thomas, who passed away earlier this month aged 89

Tudor gave half a century of support to the Tigers after moving to Leicester in the 1960s from his native Wales. Thomas played a huge role behind-the-scenes at Welford Road first starting as team secretary back in 1972. He went on to become club president and honorary secretary and was awarded life membership at the club in 2007.

A service was held at the Church of St Michael and All Angels in his home village of Cosby in Leicestershire earlier this morning.

If anyone was Mr Tigers other than Tom Crumbie or David Matthews, Tudor for me is that person. A genuine gentleman."
