The Leicester Tigers Academy came from behind to defeat Yorkshire, 15-24, in Round 4 of the 2022/23 Under-18 League.

Tigers overcame a 10-point, 15-5, deficit with three second-half tries to make it three wins from four games in this season’s competition.

Yorkshire crossed in the fifth minute and converted the opening score to lead 7-0 before a try to Leicester’s No.8 Sam Williams in the 23rd minute cut the gap to two points.

However, the home side extend their lead to seven points with a try four minutes later before adding a penalty just before the break to lead by 10 at half-time

The 35th minute penalty would be the last of Yorkshire’s points, held scoreless in the second-half by Tigers who crossed for three tries in thirteen minutes.

The first, to Charlie Davies, came in the 52nd minute, which was converted by Ben Taylor, before a double for replacement hooker Finlay Haywood in the 55th and 65th minutes secured the away win.

Taylor converted the fourth and final score to extend the lead to nine points, 15-24, where it would remain until full-time.
