In an effort to reduce the environmental impact of plastic waste and litter generated on a matchday, as well as improving service for supporters, reusable goblets have been introduced in bar areas at Welford Road.Catering partners Centerplate have introduced Tigers-themed reusable plastic glasses in the bars around the stadium.
These goblets are heavier and more substantial than previous plastic containers and ONLY reusable glasses will be available at the stadium.
A £1 deposit per glass will be added to the cost of your first drink and when you return to the bar, you will be served in a fresh, clean reusable glass. Or you can keep the glass as souvenir.
There will be return stations for glasses around the stadium to return your deposit.
Also, two-pint pots will be introduced for the new season in the ABC and Final Whistle bars, using the same reusable system and deposit.
This system is in operation for all home games, including Sunday's visit from Wasps.
As well as the introduction of reusable plastic glasses, there are some other changes at kiosks and bars for the new season.
There is a new layout in operation at the Final Whistle Bar to offer a more efficient service to all supporters.
