Leicester Tigers academy forward Cameron Jordan will start for England Under-18s in the first match of their season this weekend.

Jordan, who is a student at Oakham School and made his Tigers senior debut in this season’s Anglo-Welsh Cup, is included in the second row as England face France in Digne-les-Bains on Saturday (kick-off 3.00pm local time, 2.00pm UK).

The match is England’s first of the campaign which also includes fixtures against Scotland on March 18 and Wales a week later before the Six Nations Festival dates with Scotland, Italy and France.

Head coach John Fletcher said: “Our training camp last week was exciting and it was great seeing the players starting to connect with each other in preparation for our games over the next few months.

“It will be a good experience and a great challenge for the players to play France in France and it’s exciting to be playing our first fixture of the season.”
