A thanksgiving service and celebration of the life of Leicester Tigers history-maker David Matthews will be held in Rutland on Monday, July 15.
The Tigers’ record appearance holder and a former player, coach and director with more than 60 years’ association with the club passed away on June 18, aged 82.
A thanksgiving service open to anyone who knew David or wishes to pay their respects will be held on Monday, July 15 at St Nicholas’ Church in Cottesmore, Rutland (post code LE15 7DH) at 2.00pm.
This will be followed by a celebration of David’s life hosted at Oakham Rugby Club, Oakham Showground (LE15 7TW). Everyone is welcome.
