A flag signed by rugby players, footballers and cricketers from Leicester's sporting teams is being auctioned for charity.Leicester Tigers players have been joined by players at Leicester City and Leicestershire County Cricket Club in signing a Pass It On Leicester flag in support of the Rik Basra Leukaemia Campaign and the Anthony Nolan Trust.
The flag is being auctioned online between now and Christmas Day. Click here to place a bid.
The Rik Basra Leukaemia Campaign has been adopted as a Tigers club charity this season and they ran the Pass it On Leicester Campaign through September.
Rik, from Leicester, is a leukaemia campaigner after his own experiences which showed the difficulty in finding suitable donors. Fortunately, Rik was able to find his donor at the 11th hour but many others are not so fortunate.
More than 30 companies and community groups teamed up with Rik's campaign and the Anthony Nolan Trust to host donor recruitment drives and awareness events in September to pass on the vital and lifesaving message that it's easy to donate your stem cells.
