Sione Kalamafoni says composure is key for the Leicester Tigers this weekend as they prepare to take on Wasps in Round 3 of the new Gallagher Premiership season.

Speaking exclusively to LTTV at the club's Oval Park base, the Tonga international was high in praise for the application and effort of his team mates under Geordan Murphy after a tough opening to the new season which included an away loss to Exeter and departure of Matt O'Connor.

"Everyone is buying in ... Geordie is a very good. It was sad to see Matty go, but we have to move on," said Kalamafoni.

"We have something to build on now.

"Wasps are a very good side ... we need to be composed."

Kalamafoni also explains the changes that have taken place under Murphy, shares his thoughts on the new back-rowers in the squad this season and previews Sunday's clash with Wasps - including the improvements required after the win over Welford Road last weekend.

"It was one of the best performances since I've been here, in that first half, but we can't only perform in a half," Kalamafoni said.
