‘Slow and steady’ wins half-time STIHL Race

Two more Leicester Tigers fans battled it out in a test of speed, skill and focus in the latest STIHL Blower Race challenge at Tigers beat Bristol Bears 31-18 victory over in Round 8 of the Gallagher Premiership.

Nathan Welham from Grantham, who sits in the Holland & Barrett stand, and the Robin Hood Stand’s Stuart Pickwick from Brackley, were invited to take part in the second STIHL half-time challenge of the season. 

In front of more than 19,000 fans, the competitors had to manoeuvre their rugby ball around our rugby course the fastest to win a their very own STIHL BGA 56 Cordless Blower, charger and battery pack, worth £199 RRP.

After getting kitted up, it was Nathan who came out on top proving that slow and steady wins the race after Stuart burst into an opening lead. Nathan’s controlled approached brought home the bacon as the second winner of our half-time challenge this season. 

Leicester Tigers and STIHL will be hosting three more STIHL Blower Race half-time challenges at home fixtures throughout the season.
