Wiese named in 'Boks side to face the Lions

Jasper Wiese has been named to start at No.8 in the South Africa side for the second Test against the British & Irish Lions at Cape Town Stadium.

The Leicester Tigers back-rower comes in to the starting side in place of Kwagga Smith, who started at the back of the pack in the loss to the Lions last weekend and is included on the Boks bench.

Wiese made his international debut for the Springboks in their Test defeat of Georgia last month before being included in the South Africa 'A' side which faced the Lions in the build-up to the Test series.

Marco van Staden, who will join Tigers this season, is also included in the Springboks matchday squad after being overlooked alongside Wiese for the first Test.

British & Irish Lions coach Warren Gatland made three changes to his starting side, with Conor Murray, Chris Harris and Mako Vunipola brought in to the XV as the tourists chase a series-clinching win on Saturday afternoon in Cape Town.
