More than 100 player sponsors, executive box holders and 1880 members joined the Leicester Tigers squad for an access-all-areas day at Oval Park.

Guests watched the first-team squad’s training session as they step up preparations for the new season under head coach Geordan Murphy and enjoyed tours behind the scenes at the training ground - with club captain Tom Youngs among their guides - as well as joining the players for a pitchside barbeque lunch.

Tigers chief executive Simon Cohen, welcoming the club’s guests, said: “We’re very happy that you are on this journey with us and your support is, as always, going to be very important.

“You will see we’ve revamped many of the facilities at the training ground and your support is very much appreciated.”

TigersLotto members Thomas Smart and Ian Addlesee also won the opportunity to join the squad and guests for the day, seeing the work that goes into getting the team on to the pitch.
