There is still time to vote for the Lumbers Player of the Month for April.

Sam Harrison, Sione Kalamafoni and Matt Toomua are on the three-man shortlist and fans can vote now by clicking here.

Scrum-half Harrison has been at the centre of Tigers’ push for a play-off spot. He scored the crucial bonus-point try in the win against Bath and made his 150th appearance for the club in the game against Northampton.

Kalamafoni was this week voted the Players Player of the Year and is nominated for a second successive month. The back-rower, who has consistently led the team’s ball-carrying and tackling stats, was the Aviva Man-of-the-Match in the win against Bath at Twickenham, a game in which he scored two tries in a winning cause.

Toomua won the vote for the Lumbers Player of the Month for March, and is nominated for the award for a third successive month. Toomua provided the pass for Telusa Veainu to score against Bath and then scored his third try of the season in the derby clash against Northampton.

Fans can vote for their favourite on the Lumbers website now by clicking here. Voting closes at midnight on Thursday (April 26) and the winner will be announced at the home Aviva Premiership game against Newcastle Falcons on Friday.

Toomua was the winner of March’s award. He followed previous winners Harry Wells, who has won it twice this season, and Telusa Veainu, Valentino Mapapalangi and Jonny May.

Supported by High Street jewellers Lumbers and voted for by Tigers supporters, the Player of the Month award recognises the contribution of individual players to the team cause throughout the campaign.

Established in 1881, Lumbers jewellers have been at the heart of Leicester for more than 135 years – just like the Tigers – and are the sponsors of the club’s monthly award.

The Lumbers team offers unparalleled service and knowledge for clients at their premises in High Street, Leicester, with an extensive range of services including jewellery and watch repairs, valuations and engraving.
