Leicester Tigers women’s team go to Henley Hawks on Sunday (2.00pm) in the team’s last outing before the Women’s Championship North 1 season begins on September 18.
The Tigers travel on the back of a 36-7 win over London Irish last weekend and Vicky Macqueen, head of the women’s programme, shares valuable gametime through the squad for this week’s outing against Championship South opposition.
Macqueen said: “I was really pleased with the overall performance, but there were also so many work-ons for us to take away.
“The workrate was there, defensively we were really strong and the team is really coming together even when we made changes through the game.”
Molly Draycott, scorer of three tries from full-back in the win over Irish, reverts to centre and there is a starting place on the wing for Bryany Chalk who touched down twice against the Exiles.
Scrum-half Amy Relf is among the players making a first appearance of the pre-season programme in a team led by hooker Sam Williams.
