Harry Thacker has been nominated for the Land Rover Discovery of the Season award.
Thacker is on a six-player shortlist, which recognises the brightest young players in the Aviva Premiership.
The 22-year-old is joined by Jack Clifford (Harlequins), Paul Hill (Northampton Saints), Maro Itoje (Saracens), Sam James (Sale Sharks) and Harry Mallinder (Northampton Saints) on the shortlist.
Thacker, who won the fans and players Player of the Year awards with Tigers and has scopped the Goldsmiths Player of the Month Award twice this season, is also nominated for LV= Young Player of the Year at the RPA Awards later this month.
David Flatman, Land Rover ambassador and one of the award judges, said: “These youngsters are coming up against established and experienced players and making them sit up and take note; emerging as genuine talents.”
Players aged under-23 on 16 October 2015 are eligible for the award and to make the shortlist, the player must have featured in five or more Aviva Premiership matches in the 2015/16 season.
The winner will be announced at the Aviva Premiership awards night at the London Hilton, Park Lane on Wednesday, May 18.
