In a LTTV exclusive, retiring Leicester and England veteran Mat Tait sits down in the historic home changing room at Welford Road to take a look back on his decorated career in the game.

From debuting for Newcastle as a teenager to being thrust in to the international arena just one day before his 19th birthday and the opportunity to work alongside legends of the game like Jonny Wilkinson and Matt Burke, Tait opens up on that experience and what he learned and took with him through his career.

Tait also discusses what he took from spending a year on the World Sevens circuit and chance to represent his country at the Commonwealth Games in the early days of his professional career and the move from Newcastle to Sale, as well as what motivated the move and the experience he had as a Sharks player.

Finally, Tait discusses the reasons for his move to the East Midlands and what it was that saw him become a Leicester Tigers player eight years ago.

Keep an eye out for Part Two of LTTV's exclusive chat with Tait, where the Tigers Family favourite opens up on his time in Leicester and the best memories he has on and off the pitch with the club. In a special feature, Tait also answers questions about the best and toughest players he has played against and alongside during his lengthy career at the top of the game.
