The Big Boot has proved a massive hit in the last couple of seasons at Welford Road and now it is even bigger and better as The Ultimate Big Boot for 2015/16.Now, instead of individuals facing the Big Boot head on, teams of 10 take the field at half-time to face the rapid-fire Ultimate Big Boot, sponsored by De Montfort University.
On Saturday, it was the turn of the Tigers ball boys, supplied by The Lancaster School in the city.
And while they do a great job on matchdays, the squad could make only one catch, with Ethan Mudie to thank for breaking their duck.
The Ultimate Big Boot also allows teams to be pitted against each other, as the young players from Leicester Forest and Syston rugby clubs showed in the Kings of the North fixture between Tigers and Newcastle Falcons. Syston emerged as 5-2 winners, setting the standard for the start of the new season.
There is a jackpot prize for any team that can claim all 10 catches, starting at £2,000.
The Ultimate Big Boot is available to group bookings. Participants must be aged 14 or over. All participants receive a Big Boot T-shirt as a souvenir. For more information, phone the Tigers Group Days team on 0116 2171 216.
