Scott Hamilton and Craig Newby have given their thumbs up to the Leicester Tigers Rugby Courses.
Hamilton and Newby paid a visit to the half-term camp which has been taking place at Oakham RFC this week.
The New Zealand internationals passed on their advice to the young players, took part in a question and answer session, signed autographs and posed for pictures.
Tigers back-rower Newby said: “The children were really good and asked us some awesome questions. I think one of the best was to Scott, who was asked what wingers he preferred playing with. I thought that was a pretty good one to ask.”
Hamilton said: "It was good for the children who get to have fun, get a bit of rugby in and some good technical advice from the Tigers coaches, which makes a difference."
Tigers Rugby Courses are supported by Mark Group. They are for players involved in contact rugby from under-nines through to under-16s and see the club's community coaches work with them on all aspects of their game. Every player who attends the course will receive a free ticket to a Tigers first-team game at Welford Road as well as a Tigers Rugby Course T-shirt, rugby ball and drinks bottle.
Tigers will be running courses over the Easter holidays at Market Bosworth RFC and Market Harborough RFC (April 6-9) and at Oundle School (April 12-16).
Newby added: “When I was growing up we had nothing like this and it has to be good. At this age they just want to learn.”
