Tigers and Norfolk make a strong team

Leicester Tigers share strong links with Norfolk, including a long line of players from the county to the staging of community initiatives – and those links are growing stronger thanks to LeoVegas.com

England internationals Tom and Ben Youngs, Tigers players Will Evans and George Catchpole and development players Harry Mahoney and Harry Simmons all hail from the county.

Tigers regularly host Rugby Camps and grassroots tournaments across the county as well as attending the Royal Norfolk Show every year with The Maul and the roadshow team.

Now Tigers have something else in common with the county, in the shape of award-winning mobile gaming and sports-betting operator, LeoVegas.com, who also support promotion-chasing Championship football team Norwich City.

The Tigers players from Norfolk celebrated their roots and support for the football club by posing in Norwich’s famous yellow kit for a LeoVegas.com photoshoot at Tigers’ Oval Park training ground.

Scott Clarke, Tigers head of community, said: “The Tigers academy has produced some of the world’s best players and this success is built on the strong links we have built with clubs around the UK and abroad.

“Norfolk has a prolific reputation for developing youth rugby through a number of our programmes, which start with our U10s Prima Tiger Cup competition, youth rugby camps at local clubs as well as our far-reaching scouting network.

“By having an association with one of the region’s most successful football teams through our top players from Norfolk, we hope to continue to drive rugby development across the region.”
