The impact that the Covid-19 pandemic has hit the club hard across the board at Welford Road and Oval Park. None more so than within the club’s community department.
Often seen in schools, sports clubs and rugby camps across the UK, the community team bring opportunities to those who can benefit from the power that sport possesses.
However, operations were shut down almost overnight with schools, groups and organisations halting activity in light of the outbreak at the end of March earlier this year.
Since then, the Tigers team have been doing what they can working with communities to help one another through the pandemic.
The club held a number of Well-being Week’s using materials and resources from projects led by the community helping to provide people with health and fitness regimes, learning and schooling activities as well as ways to keep active.

The club is also working with partner Brooksby Melton College as they look to renovate the grounds at the college incorporating brand new rugby-purpose pitches.

The #TigersFamily have also pulled together as local business Stearn Electric Nottingham donated much needed face masks to the Leicester Tigers Foundation, helping the Wheelchair Rugby team restart training and to help with the support of young vulnerable people through Tigers Education.
