Leicester Tigers will welcome schoolchildren from across Leicestershire and Worcestershire to Welford Road this Saturday to be part of the Tigers Family.

Children from more than 200 schools will get an introduction to rugby, to Tigers and to Welford Road when they join the big match atmosphere at the Aviva Premiership clash with Worcester.

Chris Rose, Tigers head of brand, said: “The atmosphere and matchday experience at Welford Road is renowned across the world and we want to share it with as many people as possible.

“We know that fans choose their colours early in life and we are looking forward to welcoming the next generation of Tigers fans to Welford Road on Saturday. We know they will get a great welcome from the club and supporters.”

Young fans can show their support for the Tigers by joining the Junior Tigers Club, which now has more than 40,000 members.

Supported by The Nottingham Building Society and retailers next, the JTC area of Final Whistle is open for two hours before each home game with activities for young supporters.

Members are also joined by a Tigers player each week and even have the chance to run out on to the pitch as a Tiger Cub or a matchday mascot.

JTC membership is free to supporters aged under 16. Sign up in the JTC area on matchdays or visit the webpage at www.leicestertigers.com/jtc
