Tigers fans have helped to raise £1,000 for the Leicester Tigers Foundation supporting last month’s Foundation online auctions.
Fans had the opportunity bid on a host of signed Tigers memorabilia and souvenirs with all proceeds going towards funding the work the Foundation to deliver Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) sporting opportunities.
Members of the 2017/18 Tigers squad signed rugby balls, flags, pictures and a limited edition ‘Vintage’ shirt as well as a large print of Manu Tuilagi’s shirt signed by the man himself.
With five lucky winners taking away the items, a huge thanks to all who contributed and placed a bid.
The Leicester Tigers Foundation continues to deliver great work around the community, providing fun and specifically adapted-rugby activity programme to the SEND schools network within Leicestershire.
The Foundation also helps support Leicester Tigers league-winning wheelchair rugby team, as well as the delivery of community programmes across Leicestershire and the UK.
Celebrating the history and success of the club is also driven by the Tigers Foundation, most recently sharing an update of the proposed Foundation monument which will recognise the sacrifice of the 46 Leicester Tigers players and the 100 Barbarians who gave the ultimate sacrifice during the two World Wars.
