Tigers Foundation: What’s coming up this summer

While the new season remains a few months away, the work of the Leicester Tigers Foundation to bring great events and activities to fans over the summer continues.

The Foundation were pleased to report the latest update in the Tigers Foundation Monument Project last week, which has seen a new-look statue designed and taking the first steps to installation at Welford Road.

Harnessing the power of rugby's core values, The Foundation plays a key role in raising funds to support programmes and events within the community.

So, what activities can fans get involved with this summer?

The Leicester Tigers Foundation stadium tours have continued to grow in popularity giving fans the chance to take a behind-the-scenes look at the club's historic Welford Road ground.

Including a special legends tour with former Tigers full-back Dusty Hare, fans have been able to discover more about their club from its rich history to what goes on across the stadium every matchday.

Fans can jump on any of our tours in July taking place on July 19, 23, 26, 30 and throughout August.

Help raise vital funds for The Foundation on Sunday, August 18 as we invite fans down to Welford Road for our Foundation Car Boot Sale.

Whether you've got Tigers memorabilia, other items or even if you’re planning a summer clear out, there is space on the Crumbie Car Park for up to 50 vehicles. Lots cost £10 for a car and £15 for vans.

Kicking off from 7.00am for sellers and 8.00am for buyers, the event will run until 12.00pm.

Supporters can also put their golf skills to the test at our Foundation Golf Day on Wednesday, August 21

Tigers players past and present will be taking part in a special event at Nailcote Hall golf course taking part in two nine-hole rounds – and you can join them.

With competitions, awards and a BBQ, places cost £50 per person with the day starting at 10.00am.
