Tigers players gave early Christmas presents to patients, their families and staff during visits to Leicester Royal Infirmary and Glenfield Hospital.

The first-team players handed out goodie bags, T-shirts and chocolates to patients, their families and staff.

Fraser Balmain, Will Evans, Mike Fitzgerald, Luke Hamilton, Sam Harrison, Graham Kitchener and Michele Rizzo spread the Christmas cheer at the LRI, while Marcos Ayerza, Peter Betham, Ellis Genge, Jono Kitto, Ed Slater and Mike Williams visited the Glenfield.

They handed out Junior Tigers Club goody bags courtesy of Nottingham Building Society, and sweets thanks to Tigers partners next.

Scrum-half Harrison said: "I've got two girls myself, aged three and 18-months, who were both born here at the Infirmary. So I realise how important the work all the staff do here is.

"Coming along to meet everyone before Christmas is something a bit different for us and we realise how much it means to people,” he told the Leicester Mercury.
