Tigers in Quad Nations action in Leicester

Leicester Tigers Wheelchair Rugby internationals Jamie Stead, Gavin Walker and Nick Cummins will represent Great Britain in this weekend’s King Power Quad Nations tournament at the Morningside Arena in Leicester. 
 
This year’s competition welcomes reigning World Champions Japan as well as Canada and France to compete alongside Great Britain in the round-robin style mini league. 
 
As well as Tigers stars, Tigers head coach Darren Matthews and chairman Rob Tar are a part of Team GB’s head coach Paul Shaw’s coaching staff. Tigers wheelchair mechanic Jonathan Roach is also a part of the backroom staff. 
 
Tigers successfully retained their Super Series Division One 2018/19 championship following an unbeaten season and have the chance to win their first ever double with the National Championships - which welcomes the countries top six teams - at Leicester in April. 
 
Great Britain open the weekend’s fixtures against Canada on Friday, March 1, before playing in the day’s final fixture against France. 
 
Day two’s action see’s the side face Japan before Sunday hosts the third and fourth placed playoff ahead of the final. See the full schedule below.
