As the pre-season action continues on the field, Leicester Tigers are taking the club’s roadshow vehicle known as The Maul to share in the celebration of Indian culture in Leicester this Sunday (August 20).
Described as a glittering mix of live music, dance, food, fashion, arts and culture, the Mela Festival will have a touch of red, white and green added when Tigers mascot Welford arrives with club staff this weekend.
Tigers’ home at Welford Road offers not only entertainment on the field but is one of the region’s premier event and function spaces, with a wide variety of options available for whatever you are planning. From corporate events and seminars, to birthdays and weddings, our events staff will be joining Welford and The Maul on Sunday to answer all your questions.
As well as trying your hand at the rugby-based activities that The Maul offers, visitors can get a #Welfie with Welford and plan your next big event at the club’s historic home. You can also indulge in the delicious Indian cuisine on offer and shop until you drop in the famous Mela Bazaar, all while enjoying the live entertainment on the main stage.
