Tigers and Levy donate matchday food supplies

Leicester Tigers and club partners Levy have passed matchday food supplies to charity following the cancellation of Saturday’s game against Bordeaux-Bègles.

The Heineken Champions Cup fixture against the French visitors was cancelled on Friday afternoon, when matchday catering orders had already been delivered in readiness for a large home crowd and corporate guests at Mattioli Woods Welford Road.

Rather than see the deliveries go to waste, the club and stadium caterers Levy have been able to pass on to families in need and the vulnerable with help from the Tigers Foundation to the New Parks Community Mission who also support Braunstone Frith Food Bank, the Zinthia Trust and Lulu’s Kitchen who provide meals for the homeless.
