The JTC VIP Area was packed once again with excited members on Sunday, as the Tigers defeated Bath Rugby 17-8 in front of a sold - out Welford Road.24,000 fans came to Welford Road on Sunday, January 5 for the match against Bath Rugby and the JTC VIP Area was one of the busiest of the season! For 2 hours before the match JTC members made the most of the free activities on offer, before Harry Thacker and Will Owen made a special guest appearence for the question and answer session. We learnt that Harry's father used to play for Leicester Tigers and he was his inspiration growing up, while former player Lewis moody was Will Owen's inspiration. We also found out that Harry has broken his new year's resolution already! His aim was to not eat any cake however, he had a slice the night before the match! Harry and Will helped us draw out the lucky winners for the matchday mascot, Tiger Cubs and Challenge Welford draws. Finley Lewis and Constance Hu were our mascots, Evie Griffin, Emma Painter, Lily Dudley and Lucas Barter were our Tiger Cubs and Jack Griffin won the chance to Challenge Welford at half time. Jack Griffin won the chance to Challenge Welford at half-time in a space hopper race, from under the posts at the Goldsmiths end, to the 22m line and back. In a tight race both Jack and Welford were sliding in the slippery conditions, but the crowd roared Jack home to dive over the line and win in style! He won his very own JTC t-shirt and £25 next gift voucher, well done Jack!
