Tigers on Tour in Paris with Thomas Cook Sport

Competition winner Patricia Craig, who won herself and husband Alan two places on the trip, said she was "very surprised" upon finding out she would be making the trip to Paris after winning her way on to the plane thanks to TigersLotto.

Craig, a season ticket holder in the Breedon Stand from Oakham, was also happy to see the team "pull together" after a slow start under the roof of the La Defense Arena on the indoor track.

"It wasn't a great start but it was good to see the side pull together after the first 20 minutes," said Craig.

"I enjoyed the trip. We had good seats and good company, everyone on the trip was fantastic."

It wasn't the easiest of trips for supporters across Paris, with unrest in various spots around the city as protests took place, however Craig was quick to say that Thomas Cook Sport and Tigers staff accompanying fans made it enjoyable in difficult circumstances.

"It was difficult circumstances for Emily and Ellie, our guides, and it ended up that it wasn't safe enough to be out on the Saturday night for dinner but they arranged a Sunday lunch before the game in Paris which was excellent."

After the success of the first ever official supporters tour with Thomas Cook Sport to Belfast earlier this season, which saw more than 30 fans enjoy a two-night stay in Ulster, last weekend's second trip was made available to fans wanting to make the trip across the channel for the fixture against Racing 92 and several from the Irish tour booked themselves on board again to Paris.

Fans travelled to Paris and back on board the same flight as the Tigers squad and mingled with the players in the airport, getting autographs and photographs with members of the squad ahead of both journeys.

Speaking about the partnership and two successful tours for supporters, Tigers commercial director Andrea Pinchen said: "It's a great sign of what we love about our club partners."

"People see these as commercial deals, which there's no hiding from that they are, but this opportunity for fans was only possible through our partnership with Thomas Cook Sport and it's fantastic to see supporters able to be a part of the squad's trip to such an iconic city and venue in the European competition."
