Leicester Tigers have reached another social media milestone with six-second video app Vine passing the 500,000 loops mark.Tigers aim to bring supporters closer to the club and the players by giving them a peek behind the scenes at Welford Road and Oval Park through short films posted on Vine.
The Vine videos are up-to six seconds long and include footage of match action, training and media conferences as well as films taken on away trips at home and abroad.
Recent videos include Logovi’I Mulipola landing a kick at goal at Welford Road during a training session, which has been watched almost 45,000 times.
The latest milestone comes as the Tigers Family approaches 250,000 members on the club’s official social media pages. Tigers now have almost 150,000 likes on the Official Leicester Tigers Facebook page, are followed by more than 73,000 on @LeicesterTigers on Twitter and are approaching 18,000 fans of the club’s @LeicesterTigers Instagram.
And subscribers to the Tigers YouTube channel have enjoyed exclusive highlights of the LV= Cup win at Cardiff, games of All Star Mr & Mrs with the likes of Owen Williams, Fraser Balmain and Terrence Hepetema, and a celebration of Marcos Ayerza in his benefit year.
