Tigers stars inspire next generation on Rugby Camps

Leicester Tigers stars have been passing on their advice to the next generation of players on the club’s summer Rugby Camps.

Club captain Tom Youngs, Players’ Player of the Year Sione Kalamafoni and scrum-half Harry Simmons, who made his league and European debuts last season, have been working with youngsters across the Tigers region.

Youngs visited the Tigers Rugby Camp at Lichfield RFC, Kalamafoni went to Leicester Forest RFC while Simmons was at Diss RFC.

The Tigers trio passed on their experience and advice in a Q&A, signed autographs and took part in a rugby session.

Kalamafoni said: “It’s great to see the kids enjoying themselves. They all have a smile on their faces, it’s great to see them running around and having fun. And it’s nice for me to be able to give something back.”

Tigers Rugby Camps continue next week at Lincoln and Swaffham rugby clubs and at Ratcliffe College.

Telusa Veainu is due to visit the Ratcliffe College camp with Mathew Tait set to drop in at Lincoln and Harry Mahoney at Swaffham.
