Tigers Times winners enjoy matchday

Lucky competition winners were treated to Leicester Tigers matchday experiences during Saturday’s home game against Harlequins.

Season ticket holders entered a series of competitions in the Tigers Times published before Christmas.

Syston RFC Under-14s won a Matchday Coaching Clinic experience with Tigers coaches before the big game, taking part in a training session with Tigers coaches before meeting first-team player George Catchpole and having a photo on the pitch at half-time as well as watching Tigers against Harlequins.

Ian Caldwell, coach at Syston, said: “Thanks for a fantastic day with Tigers. From start to finish, it was a great experience for the players, coaches and parents.”

Season ticket holder Mel Dexter from Queniborough dined in the Tryline Club ahead of the kick-off with friends and family before meeting Tigers and England prop Ellis Genge.

She said: “We usually stand on the Terrace so today is very different for us. We’re all excited and can’t wait to enjoy the hospitality.”

Tony Woodward and his wife enjoyed the hospitality of the Directors Lounge as one of our winners.

“I’ve been coming down to watch Tigers for 40 years or so and we sit just by the corporate seats so it’s great to experience something new today,” he said.

A group of season ticket holder winners also took part in the weekend’s Ultimate Big Boot challenge on the pitch at half-time. The group caught three balls and posed for a half-time photo.

Huge congratulations to all our Tigers Times season ticket holder winners and don’t forget, the deadline to renew or purchase a season ticket for the 2018/19 at the frozen price is February 28.
