Tigers to face Saints this weekend

Leicester Tigers Wheelchair Rugby team will take part in an exhibition match against Northampton Saints on Sunday, February 24 at the Northampton International Academy.

Fresh off the back of their title-winning Super Series weekend earlier this month, Tigers will make the journey down the M1 to face the old enemy for two exhibition fixtures at 11.00am and 1.00pm.

Tigers successful defended their Super Series Division One title following an unbeaten season and now reignite the fierce historical rivalry between the clubs.

Northampton claimed their first-ever silverware in the summer of 2018 winning the Wheelchair Rugby 5s Summer League Conference Blue league.

The fixture will act as valuable match practise for Leicester Tigers Great Britain players, who will be taking part in next month’s Quad Nations tournament at the Morningside Arena in Leicester.

You can follow the Tigers Wheelchair Rugby team, supported by club partner Häfele in action this weekend by following their twitter handle @TigersWR.

Tickets are available to watch Tigers internationals in action at the second King Power Quad Nations as Great Britain take on Canada, France and world champions Japan.
