Rugby teams from across the country will be aiming for a trip to Twickenham when they take part in a festival of rugby organised by Leicester Tigers on Sunday.
Tigers will hold the Land Rover Premiership Cup for under-11s and under-12s teams at Oakham RFC.
The tournament is in its second year and has attracted teams from the West Midlands to Norfolk, from Nottinghamshire to Jersey and from Staffordshire to Leicestershire.
A total of 32 sides have entered and the top team in each age group will win a trip to Twickenham for the Guinness Premiership Final on Saturday, May 29 where they will take part in a celebration of rugby with a lap of honour around the pitch.
Tigers community manager Scott Clarke says there is a real buzz around the competition.
“We had a great day last year and were treated to some fantastic games of rugby,” he said. “The tournament is a great opportunity for young players from across the county to showcase their talents and with the prize of a trip to Twickenham on offer I am sure it will be another fantastic spectacle.
“We are very grateful to Oakham for hosting the Land Rover Premiership Cup. They helped put on a fantastic event last season and we are all looking forward to another great day of rugby this Sunday.”
A number of Tigers first-team players will attend the festival, presenting trophies and signing autographs.
The Land Rover Premiership Cup is a nationwide tournament, officiated by Premier Rugby and run in conjunction with the 12 Guinness Premiership clubs.
