Tigers to host Castres in Euro quarter-final

Leicester Tigers will be at home to Castres Olympique in the quarter-finals of the European Challenge Cup in April.

With five wins in the qualifying stages, Tigers topped Pool 5 and a late penalty kick gained a bonus point from defeat at Pau in Round 6 to confirm home advantage in the last eight.

As a result, Tigers overtook Castres in the seedings and will host the French club in the quarter-finals during the first weekend in April.

Dates, kick-off times and broadcast coverage for matches will be announced towards the end of next week.

Ticket sales details will be confirmed in the next few days. This match is not included in Tigers season tickets.

Toulon’s big win over Bayonne on Saturday saw them top the seedings after Bristol drew against Zebre in Italy, with Bordeaux-Begles extending their unbeaten run to qualify as third seeds.

Dragons, Scarlets and Edinburgh also qualify as the best runners-up in the pool stages.
