Allow for extra time

With both football and rugby fans heading for the south of the city, City Highways Director Martin Fletcher is advising motorists to plan their journeys before setting off.

He said: “With the Tigers and Leicester City both playing at home, and with the January sales in full swing, we’re expecting high volumes of traffic on the road network and high demand for parking spaces.

“My advice would be to plan ahead and allow extra time to get to your destination – whether that’s Welford Road, the King Power stadium or the city centre’s shops.”

If you have any questions about getting to Welford Road for this Saturday’s match, get in touch with the Tigers ticket office today on 0116 319 8888 (option 2).
