You can give your Leicester Tigers favourites a rousing reception at the final pre-season match of the summer when French visitors Montauban arrive at Welford Road on Saturday, September 8 (3pm kick-off).

With the first game of the league season away from home against Bristol the following weekend, the Montauban match provides the perfect opportunity for supporters to give the defending Guinness Premiership champions a rousing send-off.

Tickets are on general sale now, with prices starting at just £10 standing, £12 seating for season ticket holders, £12/£15 for members and £15/£20 for non-members Junior tickets are priced at £6-£8, with family deals also available.

The deadline for season ticket holders to purchase their usual seats before being released for general sale is this Friday (August 24). Any unsold season ticket holders' seats will be released for general sale on Saturday (August 25).

The Montauban match represent an opportunity for coach Richard Cockerill to put the finishing touches to his preparations for the new season and finalise his selection, while also allowing the newcomers in the squad to experience a Welford Road matchday atmosphere.

Newcomers including Benjamin Kayser, Boris Stankovich, Marco Wentzel and World Cup winner Owen Finegan will be looking to make an impression, while all of the squad will aim to reach the game in top condition with the league title defence in mind.

For former Stade Francais hooker Kayser, as well as ex-Albi prop Stankovich, the match offers a quick rematch against opponents they knew well last season in France's Top 14.

"Montauban had some excellent results last season and finished the season in seventh place, which shows they can be very dangerous opponents," said Kayser, a French Championship winner in May before moving to Welford Road. "They have some flair and they work very hard all over the pitch."

Coach Cockerill views the visitors as the perfect opposition for his squad with the season's opening match against Bristol following so quickly.

"Pre-season is all about building up to the start of the competitive action and we feel that Montauban will provide ideal opponents in the final week before the Guinness Premiership begins," Cockerill said.
