GALLERY | First Rugby Camps in over a year

Figure image

More than 200 young rugby players took part in the first Leicester Tigers Rugby Camp in over a year, following the government’s easing of lockdown restrictions.

The club made the decision last May to suspend its schedule of rugby camps last year in light of the Covid-19 pandemic in the interest of the safety and welfare of all coaches, staff and young players.

March 29, 2021 marked a huge moment for the rugby community around the UK, as club’s and groups were once again able to take part in organised outdoors sports.

Boys and girls from under-9 to under-16s took part in a four-day camp at Brooksby Melton College which included morning and afternoon sessions with rugby coaches at the colleges sports facility.

Leicester Tigers community team hosted a mix of sessions in line with the latest RFU guidelines.

As the old saying goes, pictures can speak a thousand words, which is why we’ve pulled together a gallery of photos as rugby returned to the county.
