Tigers were the opening-day visitors to Welsh’s new base at the Kassam Stadium in Oxford, scoring five tries in a 38-13 win with Vereniki Goneva among the scorers on his Leicester debut.
Third in the Aviva Premiership table, Tigers need to maintain pace at the top of the table, while Welsh have enjoyed their first season in the top flight but will want to push on again in the second half of the season.
