Welcome to The Grrreatest Show

It is the return of the annual Tigers in the Park family fun day on Saturday, September 8 – and this year we’re promising fans ‘The Grrreatest Show’.

Tigers will be taking over Nelson Mandela Park, opposite Welford Road, for a day of FREE activities and entertainment for the #TigersFamily ahead of the club's opening home fixture of the Gallagher Premiership season against Newcastle Falcons (3.00pm).

Gates open from 11.00am and the park will be packed with stands and activities from Tigers, club partners and supporters.

Watch a live stage performance of ‘The Greatest Showman’ with fire performers and stilt walkers to add to the spectacle. There will also be the chance to join in the carnival fun with a have-a-go circus stand.

Tune into the main stage for live music from local indie bands The HashTags and The Smarties, as well as an acoustic session with local artist Jaco.

Start your matchday in style with fun inflatables, great food and drink as well as the chance to meet some of Tigers stars ahead of the first Welford Road match of the 2018/19 season.

Chris Rose, Tigers head of brand, said: “Welford Road is one of world rugby’s most iconic stadiums and has been home to some of the club’s greatest moments. That’s why we want to celebrate all that’s incredible about our home and all the prospects of a fantastic season ahead of us.

Each year, Tigers in the Park continues to get bigger with more fans and more partners involved. With everything from live music, to competitions and giveaways, we’re looking forward to a fantastic day as we get fans in the mood for our first home game of the season.”

Further details of more activities, partners and stalls at this year’s Tigers in the Park will be announced in the run-up to ‘The Grrreatest Show’.

Match tickets are on general sale for the opening game of the season against Newcastle Falcons (Saturday, September 8, 3.00pm). Call the Tigers ticket office now on 0116 319 8888 (option 2) or book online.
