Tigers wing to head to April Rugby Camp

Leicester Tigers wing Sam Aspland-Robinson will join young rugby players at Loughborough Grammar School at Tigers’ next Rugby Camp from April 6-9.

The young wing joined Tigers in the summer of 2018, initially as a development squad player before being called up to senior squad.

Having made 14 appearances, the 22-year-old was cruelly side-lined for six months after fracturing his tibia during Tigers European Challenge Cup win over Pau at Welford Road.

The future is bright for Aspland-Robinson, who agreed a new contract with the club earlier this year, as young players will have the chance to hear and learn from Sam next month.

Leicester Tigers Rugby Camps give young players the chance to not only take part in a week-long camp, but also meet and learn from Tigers players.

Scrum-half Ben White and fly-half Tom Hardwick joined youngsters at Stafford RFC during the February half term. The former England U20s internationals took part in a Q&A with young players, before facing the elements at leading passing and kicking masterclass with the age groups.

Split into three half-day Tag Rugby for under-7 to under-8 Tag Rugby and four full-day under-9s to under-15s sessions, players are invited to come along and experience training from Tigers coaches alongside learn from their Tigers heroes.

As well as coaching, camps include: Tigers Rugby Camp t-shirt, rugby ball and drinks bottle, free membership to the Junior Tigers Club and a free junior match ticket to an allocated home game.

With prices starting from £110 for the full-day camp and £50 for the half-day camp, click below to book your place – or find a camp near you using our camp finder tool.
