Season ticket holder Paul Adkins is looking forward to the trip of a lifetime after winning a three-night stay in New York on the TigersLotto Mega Draw, courtesy of club partner Thomas Cook Sport.

Paul and his wife Sue will be able to take in the sights of the Big Apple and shop at the city’s world famous stores. The prize also includes £500 spending money and tickets to visit the top of the Empire State Building.

A season ticket holder in the Holland & Barrett Stand, Paul was presented with his prize during half-time of Sunday’s 35-27 Aviva Premiership win against Sale Sharks.

“It’s absolutely brilliant to win,” said Paul. “I only joined the TigersLotto in July. I got an email through from the club and thought ‘do you know what? I’ll give it a go.’

“I haven’t been to New York before. My wife, Sue, is looking forward to it. She has lots planned. I think we need to be there for about a month to do everything!

“A bit of shopping, sightseeing and the people at Thomas Cook Sport have given us some tickets for the top of the Empire State Building, so we’re really looking forward to it.”

Andrew Boyle, business development manager at Thomas Cook Sport, who presented Paul with his prize on the Welford Road pitch, added: “It’s brilliant to see Paul’s reaction at winning. We are delighted to be able to support the TigersLotto, as the club’s official travel partner, and to be able to be behind the Leicester Tigers.”

The next TigersLotto Mega Draw takes place on December 1, when VIP hospitality at England’s Six Nations game with Ireland at Twickenham is up for grabs.

The prize includes a pair of tickets to the game on Saturday, March 27 at HQ, with VIP hospitality at Kneller Hall in the shadows of Twickenham Stadium, two nights stay at the Petersham Hotel and £250 spending money.
