TigersLotto: Where does your money go?

Figure image
Have you ever played the TigersLotto? Providing daily chances to win great prizes, the TigersLotto plays a key role in helping to develop and fund a number of initiatives and community projects run by Leicester Tigers.

For just £52 a year, entrants are put into daily draws with prizes ranging from £100 cash to a monthly £500 draw and special Mega Draws. But where does your money actually go?
Around 20 per cent of the money raised goes back towards the Leicester Tigers Foundation Trust, and specifically towards the funding of the Leicester Tigers Wheelchair Rugby team. Teaming up with the Matt Hampson Foundation, the club plays in the UK league and joins forces with the existing Marauders club to play as Leicester Tigers in European competition.
Also, 10 per cent of funds go towards supporting the running of the Tigers academy. In particular, Tigers are raising funds to support a bursary scheme for members of its academy to attend Melton Brooksby College to study for a Sports Management qualification.
Then 10 per cent goes towards the marketing and running of the TigersLotto, with the rest of the money raised going back into the TigersLotto prizes, experiences and days out that Tigers offer Lotto members. Special prizes this season have included a table at the Matt Hampson Foundation Six Nations Dinner, a trip to the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, a stay-over at Royal Ascot and a Tech Bundle.
The TigersLotto is just one of many fundraising initiatives which help to raise money to support the club’s community work. For this weekend’s Aviva Premiership home match against Newcastle Falcons, the Tigers Foundation is distributing Tigers flags, available for a suggested minimum donation of £3 with all donations going towards the Comic Relief target of £20,000 by the end of this season.
Running until the end of this season, the Foundation’s online auction has been giving fans the chance to bid to own some signed merchandise, memorabilia and training kit, with all proceeds again going towards the Foundation’s Comic Relief campaign.
The TigersLotto is open to anyone over the age of 16 and there are 272 chances to win over a year. You can enter online by clicking here.
