Tony Underwood is heading back to Mattioli Woods Welford Road as a guest at The Varsity Matches this summer.
As well as starring for Leicester Tigers, England and British & Irish Lions in his playing career, Underwood also has experience of ‘Battle of the Blues’ with Cambridge University and will share his experiences in a special question-and-answer session for hospitality guests at this year’s event on Sunday, July 4.
Matchday hospitality places are on sale now, with the opportunity to book a table in the Honours Suite or take advantage of a private space with a view from an Executive Box.
The Honours Suite package is highlighted by the return of Underwood who scored 57 tries in just 92 games for Tigers, and won league and cup title with Leicester and Newcastle Falcons.
He played alongside older brother Rory in England’s 1995 Grand Slam and in the Rugby World Cup as well as playing for the Lions on the tour to New Zealand before becoming an airline pilot after his retirement as a player.
The Honours package also includes a grazing menu served throughout the day as guests enjoy both the Women’s and Men’s Varsity Matches, plus wine with your main course and fantastic padded seats above the halfway line to follow all of the action on the pitch.
Executive Box bookings include the same menu and a full fridge as well as your own private space with a view.
Prices are £135 per person including VAT in Honours for a minimum table of 6.
Executive Box bookings are £150 per person including VAT with options available for 8, 12, 14 and 35 seats.

Staying safe is still our priority and we are hopeful that we can welcome a full crowd both in hospitality and in the stands. If Government advice does change, a restriction may be imposed on capacity in line with social distancing policies guidelines.
In the event of any change after June 21 which requires a reduction in crowd numbers, supporters who have booked earliest will have priority on keeping their place, though they may have to move seats within the stadium.

All tickets, hospitality and events bookings are guaranteed to be refunded in the event of being unable to allow you in our venue due to Government restrictions. This includes any matches with reduced capacity or played behind closed doors on a health and safety grounds.
For supporters unable to join us for The Varsity Matches, a live streaming package will be available for the match with details to follow soon.
