The #TigersFamily has spoken and selected the Topps Tiles Community TRY-umph of the Year.
With the support of Leicester Tigers’ club main partners, the Topps Tiles TRY-Umph of the Month acknowledges the key moments from the first-team action throughout the season, allowing supporters to pick their winner each month, before also presenting the Topps Tiles TRY-Umph of the Season.
Now, with senior rugby on its summer break and the countdown started for the start of the new campaign, Topps Tiles asked the Tigers community to share their greatest moments from the club rugby season to help us find the best try-scoring effort in the community game during 2021/22.
Thank you to everyone who submitted an entry via social media, to Tigers players Freddie Burns, Nemani Nadolo and Richard Wigglesworth who provided the shortlist of three special scores, and to everyone who placed their votes this week.
Voting closed yesterday and we can now confirm that the Topps Tiles Community TRY-umph of the Year is…
LEXIE'S LONG-RANGE EFFORT
Leicester Forest Under-15s, who were under pressure on their own line, showed bravery in possession to keep the ball alive and, when defenders were drawn towards the breakdown, they played to Lexie who had the pace to weave her way through all the way to the tryline. That the score came in a National Cup fixture provided the icing on the cake for Lexie and her team-mates.
Each supporter who voted has been automatically entered into a draw to win a signed Leicester Tigers shirt.
